Conscious of the fact I've post a lot of pics lately. Please do say if I'm getting a bit carried away. It's just not often you get the chance to have pics of your boat in good sea conditions taken from a helicopter. Not just any helicopter either but a Hughes 500 jet owned by a friend of mine Colin Bland who pushed it to the limit with his accomplice who took these shots.

Ladies and gentleman I give you 33 tons and 3350HP at 40 knots - MAGNUM having fun at sea close to Salcombe /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Probably one of the most exciting experiences I've ever had. Thanks Colin for making it happen.

I hope you enjoy the pics /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Wow,

Those are better than the sunseeker shots! Now that is what Jez needs to help sell the Westlines! Please pass omn the guys number.

I think your boat just gets more beautiful!

Lovely boat, lovely pics, any idea what sort of camera was used?

Pretty sure it was a Nikon SLR. The challenge taking shots from a chopper is vibration. Some are sharper than others. There's around 30 shots altogether which I should have within a few days. I guess these must be amongst the best as they've just been received via email.

Great shots - boat looks fantastic. The first shot really shows just quite how reflective your s/s nameplate is.

The Hughes 500 is a bit of a bonkers heli, I've only flown one once and it was quite a ride, 175mph 50ft off the deck pulled up into what felt like a vertical ascent. G forces like you don't get in a Robbo R22!

Cheers
Jimmy

How'd you get the pics so quick? It's been ten months and I still haven't seen the pics the RAF chopper took when they winched me out of my wrecked boat.

Your third photo is particularly awesome btw.

Not usually one for hyperbole, but that third pic is really quite impressive (might stretch it to "awesome").
