Magna Carter in Fastnet race

Perusing the Fastnet website this evening I spotted that Carter 3/4 tonner Magna Carter has been taking part in the fastnet race - (appears to have retired into Newlyn though). To think that it wasn't big enough/fast enough for Morgana and had to be replaced !!

It was bought with the specific aim of chartering it out for the Fastnet, and as a race school boat. Without giving too much away, Neil sold it on the spot for the full bifter. No questions. I spotted it last night when they were middling in the fleet.
They have a very good boat there, but I bet they are a wee bit wet.

They were about 5th in class when they turned north for Newlyn.

Not bad going.

(stuck in Nieuwpoort watching the crap forecast at the moment.....)

And as for wet.... we used to get soaked in a F4, so would imagine they are somewhat more than soggy!
