Magellan Triton 200 GPS Plotter

The Triton 200 got quite a good write up in the recent Sailing Today group test. Has any one used one and what do you think? I sail predominantly in the Solent, but want to be able to go further afield (possibly France). I normally use a GPS just for the position, which I then plot on a paper chart, but I would like to have a basic electronic chart as well.

I do not speak as a Magellan user, but it has been noted on this forum that whilst the kit is generally good, the backup is not.

Perhaps those with more experience of them than me could comment further on this as I'm quite interested in picking up a handheld GPS myself at some stage in the not too distant.
