Any idea where I might source a replacement head unit? (or a dead unit with an OK LCD display). The screen on mine has gone dodgy, works fine otherwise but unusable due to not being able to read the display. It is all neatly wired in to my Autopilot etc and I am loath to "upgrade" and have to refit if I can avoid it!

I would only be able to suggest ebay, most probably very hard to come by now, i sold one on ebay a couple of years ago, they were manufactured around the late 90's, and most probably have been upgraded to a more appropriate gps by most boat owners by now.

I found that it was very difficult to use, not very user friendly compared with a garmin.. and that is the reason it was replaced..

I am sure it wouldn't be too difficult of a job to upgrade, as you would already have the power supply, and existing cables to the autopilot, You might have to get rid of the databox to link up the autopilot as all the new gps have it all built in now.

If you do decide to replace then find out which are compatiable with your autopilot, before you buy..

good luck with your search
