Mac tablet ships

Based on the macbook, by the look the entry level one, is not good news. I'm writing this on a three month old one, who's disk drive has never worked properly. About to be shipped to a fixer again...
GPS is optional, and if selected, yes, built in.
Macbooks are not nearly as stable as for example, my old Lombard mac.

Hate to discourage, but to keep the affiliation of old mac hands, apple have to pay more attention to quality. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Oooh, and there was me thinking of changing my old G3 bronze, even though it's only 9 years old. As a matter of interest, anyone out there using such old Windoze-based machines?

Yes... 133mhz Pentium running Windows NT4. Still works very well because it hasn't been messed with or 'improved' by the addition of later versions of software. If people leave Windows alone, don't add weird software or weird hardware, it will be just as reliable as Mac/linux

It's not an apple product. There's a guy buying Macbooks, stripping out the innards and putting them in a new case with a Wacom touchscreen. I imagine any problems will have to go back to him.

I have an old P200 laptop running Freespire, works fine for squirting online radio stations into the stereo
