More gravel banks and clay mounds on display off Selsey tonight at half six tonight than I can remember for some time.
Dead flat water so you could see the hounds gravel banks weaving their way for a couple of miles offshore out to the Street and Boulder bouys.
Mixon gravel bank must have been a mile long and you could get out to the crescent gravel bank off the car park, several people made the crossing which was less than a shoes depth to wade across the inshore swashway.
Further west mounds of clay could be seen poking up in numerous places right out to sea all along to Witterings where lots of locals were also on the sand.
Makes you realise the tales of cows grazing on Medenary Bank which is half way out to the deep water channel in Medieval times were likely to have been true.
Second evening in a row the vis was moderate and Nab was difficult to see although you could shipping south of the Owers in the sunlight. Hope it does not get worse for the Weekend.
