I thought these graphs issued by the Pwllheli Marina Manager Gwynedd Council make for some interesting observations.

Surely any manager of a comercially run Marina should have to seriously consider their position.
IF..........
1. They had managed to halve the number of visitors in seven years
2. Their occupancy has dropped from virtually 100% to 87% in one year
3. They had managed to reduce fuel sales volume to a 1/3 of what it was seven years ago. (Have boats got more fuel effecient in that time?). They have also done this whilst the number of volume fuel users has increased.
4. They have lost the larger top end big boats (spenders?) both visiting and marina berth holders as the larger boating community according to their own statistics have now abandoned Pwllheli (both Sail and Power)
5. Publishing a summary report in to why people are leaving which does not go on to investigate why up to 50% of respondents don't give a reason!
Interested in any comparisons with other Marinas outside Wales for comparison.
