Lulworth Cove Launching.

Is it possible to launch a small inflatable catamaran at Lulworth Cove?

We launched a ten-foot dory there, in order to ferry a load of diving equipment round to Durdle Door and then dive off the beach. I have vague memories of having to lift the boat over some kind of bollard or obstacle, but that wouldn't be a problem for a small cat.

It was about fifteen years ago though.

Main problem last w/e would have been fighting your way past all the day trippers to get to the water. I sense you might also find the trip-boat operators somewhat proprietorial over the slipway. Probably quiet enough now that school hols are over though.

I think that may have been what we lifted our boat over, back in the late 90s.

no you're using the forum exactly as it should be.

Sorry I can't offer advice on Lulworth, I last went there as a boy.

I can say it's not a place to be caught in dodgy weather, ie strong or even medium onshore winds & waves.
