I propose replacing the ancient cover on my Sealine with a new one and have sourced a supplier who offers a range of colours (just what I need, choice!) - mine's white (or it used to be). I fancied green but SWMBO heard somewhere that green is back luck - any "truth" in this?

Never heard of green being bad luck, and if it is, then a whole pile of Sea Rays are snookered 'cos green canvasses are one of their favourite options! There's tons of 'em round our harbour!

I heard painting a boat green was bad luck, but I think it looks good. Go for a green cover, doesnt show the muck as bad.

That little nugget of an urban myth stems from the old days of BRG

well, when i was younger my parents had the unfortunate "luck" to buy a green morris marina - very apt now i am a "boaty" person

Anyhoo, it was always bloody knackered, never ran for more than a few miles (or hours - whichever was sooner) before packing up

Cause - I would never touch a "green" mode of transport ever again!

BUT, then again it could be the shoddy build quality, lack of proper maintenance, poor coachworks... the list goes on
