Lube Oil Suppliers - La Rochelle
Wintering in Bassin des Chalutiers, La Rochelle. The cofferdam is in place and the old wooden gates are gone. Harbour master is confident the new gates will be working by 15.March. The rates have been reduced by 50% so for TOPIC at 13m loa I am paying about Euro 200 per month. Downside is that to comply with the port's insurance, the free shore power is on a 24hr trip. We survive by the wintering community resetting everyones trip button on a regular basis!
With time available I want to change engine oil for both engines (Perkins Sabre 225) and need 36 ltrs of monograde 10W40 oil. I last used Shell Rimula RX3 (a multigrade) but can't find a Shell retail outlet within cycling distance of the Vieux Port. Anyone with local knowledge of an oil supplier who would deliver 36 ltrs plus a couple of tins of grease for the stern glands?
