Hi everyone!

We are in the process of making our boat (that we have fitted ourselves) CE complied. We need to have our gas line tested and have the certificate issued. My question is could that be done by any domestic CORGI/GAS SAFE engineer? Does anyone have any contact details to such person in London dealing with boat gas systems? Any idea about the costs?

Thank you all,
Becky

I believe they need (by Corgi rules rather than law) a special ticket to work on boats. I used to have the details of one in Southampton; since that's not much use to you it doesn't matter that I can't find them :)

Hopefully someone will know a good fitter nearer you.

Pete

They have to be qualified/ registered by Gas Safe to work on LPG.

I think they may also have to be registered to work on boats. Willing at least!

In theory you should be able to locate someone via the "Find a registered gas business" facility on the Gas Safe Website http://www.gassaferegister.co.uk/

Happy hunting

Calor Gas in Southampton has a list of recommended fitters/testers who will inspect and issue the certificate. Give them a call.
