I have just started using a Lowrance 3500C with the Nauticpath charts. It’s all quite intuitive really but one feature has got me stumped. The chart is littered with ‘note’ points, red circles with the letter ‘i’ inside, but all I get when I put the cursor on them is a bearing and distance from my present position. I would have thought I should get some more information than that. The manual is not too much help, and i have been through all the menus. Can anybody help?

Press the WPT button when over the icon and a boring (usually) note will appear telling you what chart the data came from.
More use are the Tide and Current (blue box with T or C inside) - press WPT when the cursor is on this to see tide or current predictions, though some people have found faults in the results from these.
