Hi, I have been trying to connect my Lowrance 3500C to a repeater. I am now getting a message t say that there is no GPS signal.
Is this coincidence, or has the antenna developed a fault?
Can I test the antenna to see if it is working?

Thanks

I had one a few years ago, very good unit.
Do you still get the message without trying to connect it to a repeater?
You could try a system reset..Menu..system.. Reset.
My unit came with the LGC2000 GPS. There was a faulty batch and I got the message that you have. Navico replaced it foc. But that was quite a few years ago.
Worth ringing Navico, sounds like the GPS antenna.
Usual health and bullsht warnings.

Thanks for that. It did work before the addition of the repeater, and I got a friend to sort out the repeater, as it did not work immediately.
I did the factory reset thing, but to no avail.
Still stuck

I had the same error message with my 5200c plotter/lgc3000gps.Did all the tests and it turned out to be the antenna. Replaced it with the lgc 4000 which Navico supplied for about £100 (usual price £200ish) They required the serial number from the old 3000 unit.

The test details are on the Lowrance website.

So far very pleased with the LGC 4000.

Thank you both, that's pretty helpful, but dies anyone know how to test the antenna to see if it is functioning?

Just a thought. If I recall correctly the antenna has to be powered separately, has the fuse blown? Not wishing to insult your intelligence.
