Went first year, it rained, but we ended buying a Jeanneau from the nice Mr Carter at the Southamption Boat show.
Not many people went to first one, but it was a agood mix of stalls and local craftsmanship as well as the on water displays. Worth going again this year.
I didn't think much of it last year. The place was cold and stank of fish, not a lot of very interesting stands, and some absolutely disgusting, barking, smelly rescue dogs. My kids were quite traumatised. Couple of old boats outside including a Dutch schooner whose mate told me their word for the incremental change in angle of the yards (to make best use of the increased wind aloft) was "snift". A long way to go for an admittedly very interesting fact that I didn't know I didn't know.
