Im looking to buy 2 a very low Watt heaters to keep the engine room and saloon fresh over winter. I have a dehumidifier but I would like to keep the temperature a few degrees warmer than outside temperature.

Have you any suggestions as to which type of heater and where to buy them?

Thanks

Cliff

the important thing is to get heaters with thermostats (and most definitely a frost setting as I assume you want to avoid freezing) then it doesn't matter so much what the power output is (ie anything up to 500watts would be fine). You don't really want to leave a heater running 7x24 irrespective of the outside temp.....
nb tube heaters generate between 50 and 100 watts per foot length so can get quite unwieldy if you need a moderately large wattage!

I have just bought from BQ a 500w frost heater with stat and safety cutout. Says ok for caravans so assume ok for boats. Bulkhead mounted about 300mm square. £16
