I have a very compact yacht, a British Hunter 245. It's 24.5 ft long. It has minimal stowage space much of which is compromised with water and waste pipes being trunked thru' the lockers. A future project, before the long distance journey (manana, believe me, manana) begins, is to route soft tubes with tight radii through the same lockers but to take up much less space. I have not yet even started to think about what products to use but I thought it might be worth asking if anyone has had the same problems and how they have been overcome. The water pipes in place are really tough plastic and I'd have thought modern silicons (etc) might be an improvement. Tks in antic. Colin.

JG Speedfit fittings (and most of the other plastic brands) are really quite bulky. Some of the copper pushfits are hardly any bulkier than a solder fitting, and can equally be used with plastic pipe.

(When I first read the post title, I had visions of slim rectangular section water pipes - similar to low-profile extractor fan ducting :D)
