I came across this at a good price has anyone tried it galeforce marine own brand £33 for two and a half litres has anyone tried it sailing on the Clyde
I used the Gaelforce stuff it two years ago and the results were good. The boat over-wintered in Troon with summers on a swinging mooring in the Kyles. Apart from barnacles on the prop (no protection) everything power-washed off.
A group of us in the Marina bought 6 x 2.5 litre tins to save on transport costs. When I needed more I found it was even cheaper to buy in the 5 litre tins which, for some reason, is labelled "commercial". Same stuff as far as I could tell.
I used the Gael Force (Flag) stuff last year and I thought it was a bit thin, just like piss. The 2.5ltr tin only just covered my erse! The boat came out clean, so it did work ok.
They put up the price this year to £35 instead of £30 though, so I went and bought International Navigator 3ltr tin for £50 from my local chandler instead.
Didnt have to pay the delivery, and I got an extra 0.5ltr for a few quid extra dearer than G-F.
I had always used International Bottomcoat from Gael-Force as it was very cheap and always gave good results. The stopped doing it since they took on the Flag stuff. I wont be using it again, and will use International instead.
My old man seems pleased enough with the G-F stuff though on the Stella.
