Just had a lovely weekend in Gosport Marina.

We popped round from Chichester on Saturday, not too rough this trip but wind was up a bit.

Marina was very busy so they had to put us where they could, which happened to be right by the entrance, really quite choppy but we did get used to the costant rolling over the weekend. Every time a ferry glided by we had a ten minute bouncy fairground ride. :-)

Still, the trip back to Chi yesterday was nice and we even got a bit of sun when washing the boat in the afternoon, the lock was very busy going out. They were giving out numbers in the eighties when we entered back in.

We wont be able to go down to the boat for about three weeks now for a number of reasons. Bugger!

Make the most of your boats people, the season is fading fast. :-).

Yep, got to decide whether to leave her in or take her out soon.

What was all the noise about - seemed to be a party or something going on there on Sunday as we passed.

Off course

The only sunny day (Sat) we got on the bikes and headed round Chi / Emsworth (via each and every pub) saving Sunday for lunch at East Head...

The covers did not even come off as we exited the lock but I was determained for a last lunch before year end...Even more covers went on as the wind was blowing away my pork pie, still we had lunch and even a swim...

Then off course drove home Mon morning in the blazing sunshine..but I did miss the queue to get back in the lock Monday eve (every cloud and all that)

Thats it for this year as I can now look forward to wall to wall boat shows for the next few months.

Ah - that's why you were there .... luckily we decided to bypass Gosport and go to Port Solent ... very nice hosepipe allowed me to clean the decks ....

Enjoyed the weekend too! Gosport music festival was a blast (with revered music legend on the Friday night):
