Pre-Christmas family travels took me across the Solent today, beautiful (but near freezing) weather and nary a boat to be seen.
Plenty of space at a favourite and well discussed harbour:
Taxi not too busy either:
What goes on here then?
Nice to know that the practice is put in by the professionals:
The boat crew then spent some time doing boat handling exercise before recovering just in time for the next sailing.
This made me a bit envious, especially as mine hasn't been off the mooring recently (why am I always busy during the good weather).
Hope the piccies encourage you to get out there and make the most of winter boating.
Made a good interlude to a lot of foggy, icy driving during the rest of the day.
