Sunny day, finished wiring in my new tacho, so went for a short trip down from Blossoms boatyard to the Oxford canal junction. River flow quite high, only 2000rpm on the outboard and up to legal max speed. Collected my wife from her shopping trip and headed back, quite a strong current. Followed crazy Salters hire boat, 4 on board, meandering all over the place, sure the skipper was drunk, the crew all had beers in hand. Watched them crash into the bank, should have reported them really. Anyway, first day of the seaso , great to be back out on the water!
