thats a good day whats the building under the clock

Its Pier head Ferry terminal, adjacent to it (out of shot to the right), is the Museum of Liverpool which is another modernistic building if you like them. Prefer the graces myself!

Hmmm? I remember the water in the Mersey being that colour. Not nice to look at but full of marine life.

Keep an eye on your water pump as the sand ( which gives the rotten colour) wears pumps.

I rebuilt LS in Liverpool........ she's been around a bit since then.?

Tom.

Hiya Tom

yes marine life is good , I lifted a lovely 8lb thornback Ray out on Saturday. Hope you are all keeping well and enjoying bonny Scootland.

Will keep my eye on the pump for sure.

Cheers

The Royal Liver Building is a Grade I listed building located in Liverpool, England. It is sited at the Pier Head and along with the neighbouring Cunard Building and Port of Liverpool.

It's where we used to S.O.P. (Start of Passage) to the USA and Canada, Manchester Liners.
Also we would chuck out the walker log on trips to Holyhead at the start of the season after wintering in Northwich.
and the Mersey don't look much cleaner than it did in the late 1950s:D
As Tom says watch the sand in the pumps.

With a bit of luck I will have the old gaffer back in the water and be doing sailing trials in the Mersey next year.

Lovely pics of the day out Mike and on a day that the weather was good.
