What a glorious day it was today.:triumphant: Left Portishead at 11.30. Sailed down to Brean Down. Anchored there for a while and unsuccessfully tried to repair the autopilot while having a cup of homemade soup. Sailed back close to the coast, passing Birnbeck Island and Sand Point, and following the channel through English Grounds. Sunshine, flat water and a pleasant undemanding breeze. It really doesn't get much better. :biggrin-new:

Did we have to share our space? A bit. We saw one yacht (in the far distance) one cargo vessel, one car transporter and one fishing boat with intensely annoying floodlights :livid: facing fore and aft.

It always suprises me how quiet the BC is around Cardiff in winter. Why do people spend a fortune on big boats, then leave them parked up all winter?
