Is it just me or does Solent CG need to have a bit of a hunt around for a loose connection?
Coming in to the Medina yesterday at 12:30 UTC I was listening for the weather announcement. First up: Solent CG - plenty of volume but poor quality sound. Immediately after, the same announcement from Portland CG was similarly loud but so much clearer, "no static at all" as Steely Dan once put it, in drawing the distinction between FM and AM radio.
Maybe Solent's kit is a bit tired after all the radio checks they have to put up with.
