Lost...Reward!

One sense of humour has gone missing from the scuttlebutts forum. It was last seen at about 5.30 pm on the 30th September 2002. It was a beautiful little thing and was loved by the family. Easily identifiable by it' querky stance and friendly nature, always eager to please. It seems to have dissapeared just as a cloud of depression hit the forum and was preceeded by much sorrow and forbodeing. Many have said that it had no right to be here in the first place and should never return, however it is sorely missed who loved it. It may have been misunderstood at times, it boisterousness and energy being mistaken for a savage beast ready to tear the throat out of unruly member, but it meant well and alway came through with a smile in the end even when sent to the dog house with it's tail between it's legs.

So if you see it somewhere, please don't scare it off because there are members here that love and cherish it and yearn for it's return. A guaranteed reward is on offer of a breath of fresh air and a sigh of relief.

It's my guess love it or loath it, we would all welcome it back with open arms.

How can I have a sense of humour, I've got one of the boats they're always banging on about as being c**p. Plus, I have no dog, and if I did, it would probably be male.

One of my caps has just fallen out, so another £200 to the dentist when I could have bought a nice bit of kit for the boat, and after this evening, even my girlfriend hates me.

Still, le soleil brille et le vent souffle and I'm sure that if I had a hovercraft it would be full of eels.

I thought we weren't allowed to use that word if we only had a cat

Is it because I sail every day now , that the forum seems to have become dominated by crap and "clever" wit?? looks like people are leaving or not coming in.

I've got a gp14 at the mo! The Moody is on thinner ice than I was yesterday at the moment. I received the quote today and it's got things on that I dont want and things that I do want arn't on it. Getting somewhat disillusioned. Going to have a look at a Beneteau 42cc on sunday.

Where did you decide to post your memoires in the end?

Cheers

Still sorting out a home for the memoires. I remeber boat buying having lots of disillusion. We have seen a few ben 42s and they look ok, are you planning to sail off?

I looked at the Beneteau 42cc at the London BS last year (and the year before). Whilst I appreciate that many members of this forum will hate it, I thought it was a cracking boat. One day when I don't need my house, I will get one.

P.S. Thanks for you kind reply, I have been looking, and I suddenly remembered where I'd lost it. Got it back now, and life is looking good. Especially when sat on the back of my slighty smaller Beneteau 30. Get yourself a boat and forget about all the sad chaps with no dads who knock you down. Wind is free, as a lot of these guys know and make venerable use of.
