One of our club members has just lost his brand new compass inflatable it wasnt tied on correctly and waslast seenfloating over the Burbo bank heading off towards Wales ,so if you want to make a very sad man happy again(and his absolutaly hopping mad wife )please keep your eyes out for it thanks .Kieron /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif
 
Important that he informs the CG otherwise an empty dinghy could spark a big search for its missing occupants, Is it marked with the boats name?
 
well, yes, with Easterlies it will.

I would expect it to turn up in Hilbre swash, have a trip and a good look around the old lifeboat house or the beach around the back. If not there, it may wash up near red rocks.

[/ QUOTE ] With a N Easterly it'll end up in Hilbre swash maybe but with just a bit of north in it somewhere along the N wales coast but with a plain Easterly it could go to Dublin!

It was ENEly earlier but its easterly now.
 
Yes, that sounds plausible. If the wind's been as gusty as it has in London recently, I would imagine it won't take long for it's passage to Dublin, Carlingford, Arklow or.......?
