It was an average Sunday afternoon and I was just sitting on the boat yesterday, waiting for the kettle to boil when it hit me.

Something was wrong.

Something was very wrong.

At first I couldn't put my finger on it

Then the creeping realisation dawned.

The misshapen lump lying still on the side deck, lying so very still, was...

No, I can hardly bear to say it.

It was...

It was...

It was my ybw flag.

No longer fluttering perkily in the breeze but ripped from its mounting and just, well, lying there.

Closer inspection revealed that time had taken its toll on the cord.

So Hayden, I will soon be in touch for a replacement.

Some folk think they look crap. But it's the forums burgee and has been for donkeys years. I mean, you cant be a captain and say my flag looks crap, I want another one, can you??

It's not like buying a pair of underpants. You know/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Anyway, a few thousand folk seem to like them. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Got one in the back of the car - no string on it, though. Looks like this:

Th blue one not the other one. Pic courtesy of Son Vida.

It's a mouse sipping from a glass.

Mouse: Computer mouse, innit, see.

No idea about why the logo's got a glass /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

If yer all wondering why there is no massive advertising campaign and it's all a bit secretive. Well nt secretive really.

But there's no commercial gain here, it's your flag, you picked it. I just make sure you get one.

Designer Tony Boatone. He don't like it, when he's not involved, anyway his attempt at getting the flag made was crap, so he said. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Care of the immortal flag. I fly mine, only when in residence, bit like the queen. Others fly it all the time, which is good for revenue. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

It's a mouse, a computer mouse and a glass of wine, maybe gin., dunno.

It was designed to intricate the Internet and get togethers for folk on the forum. There's no pressure to buy one, but many have.

It's a bit like, date a mate. com:D
