On Saturday 5th September at 1635, a much loved and ancient pair of binoculars, still in excellent condition after 30 years of deicated service.
Steaming up the Pye channel two reefs down, 20 degrees of heel, just before Crab Knoll, gust of wind, rail well under, 30 degrees and a gentle splash as they slide off the 'secure' spot on the cabin top, (well it's been secure for the last two years).
To add insult to injury they floated just long enough for us to turn round, then sank without trace.
But it was a really great sail !
Anyone reccomend a good pair of reasonably priced 7 x 50s?
