These are great sea stories, I am currently half way through Lord Jim and read the other two which are great short stories.
Joseph Conrad was a sailor before he became an author.

There's a serialised dramatisation of "Lord Jim" being broadcast on BBC R4 Extra. I listened to the part 1 this morning and I enjoyed it.
