Agree with WhiteFin. If this guy is really a fully qualified marine surveyor, he surely would have picked up these problems before buying and, if the boat is really worth £91k (which I very much doubt), why does'nt he get the repairs done himself which surely can't cost that much? It's only a bit of re-plating and welding
My suspicion is that he's a chancer who's bought the boat dead cheap, probably knowing the faults and is now trying to offload it to turn a profit. Could also be that there are other far more expensive faults like major engine probs as well. Does'nt mean that the boat is'nt a good buy for somebody looking for a project, just that any buyer would have to be absolutely certain of what else is wrong with it
Hmm...I'm not convinced that the car is an indicator of anything in particular; It's a Shadow 1 (going by the rear bumper) or 2 (going by the rear headrests) so it's too old to have been bought to impress anyone. It could be anything from an old banger he can't afford to maintain to a beautifully looked after classic
