I have a Beneteau Oceanis 351 based in the med on the French / Spanish boarder, about 20 min for Perpignan airport.
I was wondering if anyone had any thought how I should go about renting to out next year as will not be using it from the begining of June through to the Middle of August.

Thanks

Richard

Dave, bit concerned profile has no name and no boat listed.

Has anybody ever sent money to hire a boat say in France and when they arrived they found no boat? or maybe I'm over cautious.

Re: bit concerned

Trevor - don't panic - the boat exists!!!!
I took her from Sicily to France earlier this year as 'rrees' had run out of time.
A tidy Ben. with in-mast reefing and a very reliable engine.
Go for it Dave99, I will probably be next in the queue

Re: bit concerned

Richard, are you looking for an agent or do you want to rent it out on a more informal basis?
Do you have any details, availablity, rates e.t.c. ?
Is it set up for chartering ?
It it a coded boat ?
Do you have insurance and safety equipment ?

There's quite a lot to think about, why don't you contact an agent and see what deal they can offer you ?

Re: bit concerned

No not really, why don't you try latesail, if you tell them you have a yacht available for charter, they may be able to point you in the right direction. They may even know an agent locally (to your yacht).

I wouldn't sign up with anyone though until I've met them face to face and seen their operation.

Good Luck
