Looking for Timber suppliers in Scotland.

I am looking for suppliers of Ash in Scotland. Would be grateful for any referals.

Try Farlie sawmill can't help you with phone no's etc., but have seen good quality wood sold by them.

I would second Gilmour & Aitken. Good stock but they have recently stopped customers selecting their own timber which means you can be stuck with what they give you. I prefer to select my own stock.

Not my experience..have been dealing with them 30 yrs+

The comment was made last time I was in picking up a load of timber that I had just hand selected. The chap in question seemed a little miffed at being asked to phone in his order in future - "H&S you know, we are not permitted to allow customers into the yard". Maybe they were having a go at the chap in question - I have not been in for a few months so I'll see next time. It is not a problem if they pick the timber but I will still check each length before loading and send back any twisted, split or damaged lengths.
