I have an old Furuno Radar/chart plotter with Med charts in the card reader.. The card or chip is not an SD card, its quite chunky , wish I could upload a pic but does not look like its possible on here..
In front of the reader it has Navnet Furuno/Navionics.

If anyone has a UK or English Channel, or Thames card they could sell me or point me in the right direction, I would be really grateful..
Thanks,
Jon

Thank you for that, now I know what I'm looking for.. It's a Furuno FP Card, which was designed by Furuno themselves, so no chance of a reader to insert into the fp card slot then an SD card piggy backed..

I'm still hoping someone on here has an old one I can buy.. I know it will be dated but I can chart a course with an up to date paper chart into the machine..

Thanks, jon

Sadly no.

You could contact the OP of that thread (I think he now posts as Madarin331) and see if he will sell you the English Channel Navionics card he has but perhaps doesn't want, if that's what you're looking for. Alternatives are the wanted forum here (doubtful) or Ebay.

You mentioned wanting UK-English Channel-Thames coverage. You don't say what plotter you have, but several of these old Furuno plotters can use C-Map as well as Navionics, as I suggested to the OP of the other thread. Check compatibility at http://jeppesen.com/documents/marine/light-marine/C-MAP-Chart-Compatibility.pdf. C-Map seem to have continued to support the FP format longer than Navionics did, so more recent C-Map is available.

Here is an Ebay seller with a pair of relatively recent (2008) English Channel (East and Central) C-Map FP cards which may very well work for you. 70 quid or offers doesn't seem a bad deal when your only alternative is likely to be a new plotter. (No connection):

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/C-Map-NT-...024564?hash=item2a617a31f4:g:2qsAAOSwmmxW1rgU

If C-map says the plotter is compatible with the NT+ cartography I would think something like the above is the best chance you have.

Cheers
