I'm trying to find a miniature wooden ship's wheel, e.g.

$(KGrHqZ,!hoE83w0d-5OBPVQFb,+!w~~60_3.JPG

which would be anywhere from 5-8 inches in diameter. The smallest I've been able to find is 12 inches.

I plan to use it as the crank handle on a custom composting head I'm building.

Anyone know of any possible sources?

Thanks.

But make sure it is in stock and you collect it before giving them any money. Read the warnings about Marine Megastore poor service and customer relations,on previous threads a week or so ago.

definately check first.

FWIW those a Nauticalia wheels and on their site Nauticalia list them as being 16" and 20" not 16 cm and 20cms.

Personally I would go direct to Nauticalia...The words "Marine Megastore" and "bargepole" come to mind.

I tried following through on your query on Ebay and www.seasidetreasures.com/shipswheels produced a supplier I think in the U.S ,as the prices are in Dollars. They have in stock:

12" dia (from spoke tip to spoke tip) @ $24.95

15" dia( ...........................ditto ) @ $31.95

18" dia( ............................ditto ) @ $39.95

these are all wooden as the original OP request.

also on Ebay:

If it doesn't have to be wooden there is a Blue or Green plastic one for a child's playpark from a company called WickeyGmbh & Co, Amtsgeriche,Aachen,HRA 7345

Hope this of some help
