BUDHARI was a classic wooden motorcruiser kept at Benfleet Yacht Club by a relative now deceased. The boat was sold, and the family have wondered if the boat is still afloat and if so what sort of condition she is in now. Is there anybody who knows where the boat went when she was sold, or perhaps where she is now. Any help appreciated.

There is no vessel of that name on the ITU Mars database where ships with radio licences are listed. She could have been renamed of course. You can search the database for a call sign if you know it.

There is a Budhari in the mid 50's Lloyds Registers of Yachts, but it had dropped out of registration by the late 50's. This Budhari was schooner rigged, built in 1929 as a naval pinnace, and later converted, LOA 40.3'. Owner mid 50's was a A L Lawfer registered port was london.

I remember her laying in the dock at Benfleet YC in the early 80's? she was getting pretty tired then. I believe she was sold as a houseboat & ended her days further up the creek near the scout hut site.
