Looking for an Orkney Sunsport - anyone help?

Morning all. I have a challenge for you - I'm not sure whether I'm posting in the right place as I'm a stranger to the Motor Boat forum, but I have a challenge. A friend (no, it's not me...) wants to buy, hassle-free, an Orkney Sunsport Dory on a galvanized trailer, with an electric outboard or, less favourably, a 4HP 4 stroke.

Dealers have been less than helpful - he does not want to buy the component parts, he just wants to have it delivered to Central Scotland. Cheque waiting for the right deal.

Any tips? Thanks.

this boat isnt in production is it? So he wants someone to find a second hand boat, but speccd to his requirements, with a trailer and a specific motor...
not easy...! He might have to do that himself!

Well Orkney still make their Dory which perhaps could be specified at Sunsport level - I don't know.
If it's not in production then this "challenge" is a rather odd one 'cos like you I'd expect the purchaser himself to have to locate what he wants /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Thanks for the help but you're missing the point - probably due to my wording! My friend wants a dealer who can pull their finger out of their posteriors and bother to return calls and just crack on and deliver. I'm probably in the wrong forum.

That could be aiming for the impossible.
If he has a problem with Orkney dealers then he could contact Orkney themselves and explain why he's had to do that. They were very helpful to me a few years ago.
