Looking for advice on finding a cheap marina berth in Croatia

Hello All

Not sure if this post is in the right place! Sorry if not.

We are just buying a 35ft sailing yacht in Kremik Marina Croatia and wondered if anybody has any advice on where to find a cheap mooring/marina as we can't get out there for a few months??

Any advice would be very much appreciated

There's no such thing as a "cheap marina", especially in Croatia!
The most reasonable mooring/yard I know in the Adriatic is Nautec at Monfalcone just north of Trieste.
A great place to winter. In the summer, anchor as much as poss.

Have to agree with tri39. There's no such thing as a cheap marina in croatia. Actually Kremik is probably one of the more reasonable marinas (day rate, not sure on longer term). I know there's a lot of charter companies there, maybe ask them if they know of any place or ask the person you are buying off. There are a few local villages that have moorings but without connections I would say it would be hard to get a place.

We flew back from Kremik yesterday after signing up for a 3rd year there - we meant to just stay for one and move on to Greece. There will probably be cheaper hard standing but on the water it will cost. The only general observation I'd make is to be sure you really want to buy a boat at this time of year and not sail it. You could end up paying a whole years mooring before the season opens up again next April/May.

One thing you can be sure of is that there will be more boats like yours around at the end of the season if your planned boat is ex-charter. Dozens get sold in Kremik every year and the prices have fallen each year since we bought in 2010.

if you are looking for a cheap marina in hr you have to go to
Marina Veli Rat. Of the company Baotic Yachting. But no airport and you have to take a ferry ( but you of GB are used to take ferrys)
