About 10M.Low air height. I am not interested in going fast for it's own sake. I am retiring soon and the plan is to cross the channel and spend some time on the European waterways. Also british rivers and esturies. I would be keeping a good eye on the weather and using the tide so don't need something very powerfull. A boat that is suitable for sheltered waters but could manage a short sea passage would be ideal.

All suggestions gratefully recieved

£10,000: 1970's Seamaster/Freeman

£20,000: 1970-80's Ocean 30/ Senior 31

£30,000: Selection of Princess/Fairline/Broom models around 30-32'.

Over that, a bewildering choice!

Sorry should have said. 2 people sometimes 4. Budget up to 60,000 but would rather spend less. .Not to bothered about the age as long as well loocked after.

By the looks of it less than 3.50 mt. So she should be ok for France. Remember, it's not my boat, just did some googeling.

She looks a very nice clean Birchwood. However the interior cabin photos let it down. You need to make the beds neatly, put out the scatter cushions and present her as the best you can. I was looking at a Sports Version last week here in Spain which was also very clean and is definitely a lot of boat for a great price,

Oh , I see. Will get SWMBO onto it now !

Have a look at the Dutch steel boat makers like aquanaught, linsen. Canal cruisers are their bed and butter.
Should get a good deal from a Dutch broker
