Hello there to all the people on this forum. I think I should explain what I am doing here. I am trying to locate the current where abouts of a boat my grandfather had built in 1963?? The name at that time was Blue Moon of Leigh (essex) It was registered with lloyds until 1980 under that name and the owner at that time was a Mr Swift?? I would dearly love to know what has happened to her (maybe she is for sale??) The craft was built by a firm called F A W Parsons (I think) and that was based in Leigh. If there is anyone out there who could asist me in my search I would be most grateful.. All the best Jonathan Dempsey

Thankyou very much for the "swift" response to my cry for help.. Yes the boat has just sold. I am still reeling from the shock, that after years of searching I missed the sale by a matter of a month.. However she is coming home to the UK soon and hope to catch a glimpse.. Regards Jonathan Dempsey

That's interesting. Tiller Girl was built at Leigh-on-Sea by Seacraft in 1964 to the design of 'Frank' Parsons. Smaller at 32'. she has many superficial similarities, or at least did superficially. I know that the vessel built before Tiller Girl was a Vertue so Seacraft were pretty prolific at that time.
