Hi everyone,
I’m currently researching a rare David Thomas design: the DML Alpha 50 OOD, built by Devonport Yachts around 1993.
I’ve been told there is a featured article and potentially line drawings in the September 1993 issue of Yachting World.
Does anyone on here have a collection of back issues from the 90s? If so, would you be willing to check that issue and share a photo or scan of the Alpha 50 pages?
I am trying to verify the technical specs and rig geometry for a restoration project.
The yacht was purchased at auction without documentation, and no hull number or registration papers remain. The only physical evidence I possess is an original advertising brochure. I have been unable to locate any public record of this yacht, suggesting it may have been a unique or one-off build.
Any information about this sailboat would be very helpful.
