Looking at your bottom

On my ship we use a Reach and Rescue pole with mounted camera. All the electronics fit in a peli, it’s quickly set up and works a treat. It’s saved us having divers down on several occasions.

Re Stingo's comment re a mask and snorkel, add in a few more $$'s for a good wetsuit and it will be an excellent investment in the long run.
It is also very worthwhile doing a dive course - I did a BSAC course one winter at Andark Diving in Bursledon (near Southampton) and it was excellent. There must be similar outfits in Essex?

Have you misplaced your mask & snorkel?

No - mask and snorkel all accounted for and aboard as normal - but I did like the idea of having a look without getting into sh**ty marina water!

Similarly - I like the look of the diving gear - another way to skin the cat!

We clean the bottom of our hull with a hookah. Built using an aquarium compressor, 100ft of hose and a low pressure regulator. Lot easier than putting on all our diving gear to just clean the hull
