For those following my boat buying quest Iwent to see the two favorites a supermistral. and the Jouet 24The Supermistral had a new outboard,an old boat but in reasonable condition, pota potty autopilot.Sitting headroom a great weekender that you are “on” not in.Downside was managing the outboard to berth etc unless athletic ,other downer was salt water in the bilge …asking 7500 euros

The Jouet 24 was a diffent beast with we diesel engine, very well presented with all engine manuals etc, excellent.Dowside was access to the engine to service, but being a new engine it started on the button, owner very neat and orderly….asking 10,000 euros

making enquires about a slim mechanic to service the engine😂

Possible modification to either boats would bestainlesssteel grab rails at say 2 feet above the deck extending from the cockpit to the shrouds, had such a thing fitted on another boat years ago giving good holding going forwards

Purely on the engines I would go for the Jouet if €2500 is the sticking point I would give up to be honest as I can't imagine anything worse for the owner and boat running it on a shoe string and hope and a prayer.
