39 looks great on the dock or at displacement speed... at speed she seems extremely bow high though. Not been on one and am only judging from pics, so am happy to be told I'm wrong.......

Cant really say I have found that, she needs a bit of tab under 22 knts if you have the bigger D6's as they are fair weighty lumps but a bit of tab and bobs your uncle, bear in mind with D6's, full fuel and water you are carrying nearly 3.5 tons aft of midships and then add crew to the cockpit for a smallish sports cruiser thats a fair lump but once you are over the hump she levels out fine. Doesn't happen on the 08 models though as we are fitting as standard the D4 300's and smaller tanks taking nearly a ton out of the after section, sea trials were really good couple of weeks ago the D4's are really pokey and I have to say she was quicker out of the blocks than the D6's with full fuel. fractionally noiser by a couple of db but nothing I could notice.

Reducing the size of the tanks!! Is that a good thing?
Have they never thought of trying the 39 with IPS?
I tried the Cruisers 390 with IPS and it was great, sure its not too small for it!

Cheers

We're still here! In fact we have been on the boat for most of the last three days, just popping out for essentials in the evening /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif. Looks like we will be here till Sunday morning due to the weather, so if you come down again, say hi.

Al tanks are only reduced by about 150l as 300's are a bit more efficient in the cruise than the D6's so range still stays the same. She goes so well on the DPH legs that the extra cost of IPS really doesn't warant the development cost plus would push the price up by about £12K.
