Hello! I joined this forum as I am looking for a mooring on the Thames for my 60ft narrowboat. I live aboard. I have looked at a few places just from the outside but am interested in some personal views about marinas or other mooring spaces near London. One place really caught my eye - Platt's Eyot. The island was locked so I couldn't get on, but it looked exactly like what I was looking for. A bit secluded, not too posh. I heard a rumour in another boater forum that boaters are being evicted from there, but no details. Is there anybody here with a mooring on Platt's?
Other recommendations would also be highly welcome.
Thank you!!

Platts Eyot (porthampton) is owned by Shanly group (Sorbon estates). Their main thing is housing so I would imagine at some stage the island will be redeveloped and moorings offered to property owners. just my theory !
