long term lay-up

I'm going to Australia for 2 to 3 years. I have a 30ft cruiser - Scand Dynamic 9200. She has a mooring in Jersey, but there is no where on the island to keep her on the hard. Can anybody suggest a boatyard on/near UK south coast that might offer long term storage at reasonable rates?

The south coast tends to be expensive - and space very limited. You may find it better to go to the E Coast or Wales (or what about France?).

If you are going abroad is better that you sell your boat here and to buy something in Australia. When you comeback sell in Australia and buy here.

I think that isn't a good idea to left 3 yars a boat lay-up. if she is out side she will be ruined in 3 years time.

You could try Galmpton Quay at dartmouth or the marina at Mylor in Cornwall. You'd probably be better buying an old trailer and finding a friendly farmer with room in a barn.
