I've a friend with a 42' steel ketch. Long term cruise (70,000 sea miles) around the world, 13 years no claims. Done Pacific, currently Vancouver then heading South and then back to Atlantic then Med in 2007. Looking for insurance, the mainstream insurers seem to be "running scared" of "Long distance boats". Has anyone got any hot recommendations for insurers placing this type of risk?
