Brian, This is anybodies guess, yesterday and today we had bright sunshine and temp in the city upto 27c. From this mornings forecast on BBC it looks to be turning to thundery showers with bright spells over the w/e and turning cooler. My daughter came back from 8 months in Oz last week, she's walking round with her winter coat on!

This is England. Pack for every eventuality. Dress in layers which can be added and removed at a moments notices (cos sometimes thats all you have).

If she lands at 1900, she won't get her luggage before 20:30 and is unlikely to leave the airport before 21:00. It will be getting dark and cool by then.

Thanks for the answers.... will pass the info on now. Also will open up the www.
Its only 0900 sat morning (OZ) time and as she doesn't depart for several hours it will give her an indication of what to pack.
Fully understand the coat wearing "stretch" . I lived in Darwin for 6 years and any time my family and I went "south" to Melbourne/Sydney, even in summer,we wore jumpers.
Thanks again....BrianJ

Brian - is she coming into Heathrow? It's in chaos at the moment (Sat 18), thanks to a problem with air traffic control, so warn her to check for delays with the airline. I came through last night and there were delays for incoming planes getting a gate and huge problems with reclaiming baggage. Tell her to pack light and take her case on as hand luggage if she possibly can.

Weather is sunny and quite close today, but there's been a lot of rain and overcast-ness. Therefore highly changeable as usual, above advice is excellent

"Whoops... I'm falling in love with narrowboating..."
