Ok, here's an odd one. I can't make it, but a PR consultancy I know has been asked if it can assemble a few saily people to watch the vid of Donald Crowhurst, in company with a hack from The Times. A paste-in below:

---
The Times Knowledge do an 'Ask the Experts' feature each week where they ask a group of people who are relevant to a film a few questions for example Volver - 3 generations of women from the same family, The Descent - 3 pot holers, In Her Shoes - 3 groups of sisters...

I am looking for a small group of 4 people who love sailing to come into the office Monday evening a 1800 and watch the documentary Deep Water. Throughout the film a journalist from the Times will ask questions about the film and their opinion on it.

It is a very relaxed evening and will only take about 2 hours - I will provide wine and nibbles.

------

So if you fancy wine, nipples and your name in the paper PM me for contact details.

Would love to join for wine and nibbles but am travelling again

next time?

Knowledge about sailing NONE
Knowledge about Life NONE
Knowledge about life NONE

So don't have alot to contibute but you never know........

Re: Donald Crowhurst

On a slightly different note, I have just finished reading "The Strange Last Voyage of Donald Crowhurst". I found the story absolutely fascinating and couldn't put the book down til the last page was read.

What I want to know is where (apart from Monday night in London) can I get to watch the documetary?

Re: Donald Crowhurst

Funnily enough, I have just finished reading "A voyage for madmen", by Peter Nichols. Otherwise would not have known about Mr Crowhurst. Very sad.
