Bit pre-emptive but what does the crowd think of arranging a meet / drink / eat over the LBS?

There's rumour that Kev Bs new boat will be on one of the stands so we should at least get a look before he does! He has threatended me (via PM) with dire consequences should we use the toilets or forget to take our shoes off...

We could mob Kim and get him to sort out the ordering on the fuel forum and find out why chat hasn't happended yet and why the pop-ups keep poping?

sounds like a plan....all dress as scruffy as possible with hidden cameras...points given to most valuable boat invited on, award to builder for having such perceptive sales staff.

Fine idea Barry. I met a tall bloke on the train last night who was thinking the same idea. Dates of show are

Thurs 3rd Jan preview day
4th-13th the show
Opens 10-7pm

I would prefer any day except 3rd + 4th Jan due to ahem clash with skiing dates. Perhaps meet at show then food+drink for those who want to stay on after 7pm in London. This could range from (a) meet-at-nominated-pub thru (b) large-table-at-Joe-Allen-level-establishment to (c) private-room-Mossimans-fine-food-much£££). Praps people might indicate preference, though (b) a good mid-point (to state the bleedin' obvious)

Re: Spoof the Salesman game

We could dress matts in finest flat cap and whippet and push him round in a wheelbarrow and see what's the most expensive boat we can get him on. Or maybe get BarryD drunk, and see what's the most expensive boat he can heave up on, praps.

Re: Good game...

...wandering around on X-channel ferry in morning after heavy crossing eating breakfast cereal out of sick bags. See how many you can make run for rail. Could adapt to landlubber 'friends' you don't want back on own boat, too, I spose.

Re: Spoof the Salesman game

Takes more booze than you've got to make me lose my dinner. However we could all identfiy each other by wearing flat caps....
