Log Impellor Fouling

Not sure it is relevant but Sealine F43....

The log impellor is situated in the hardest to get to place (behind the engine battery box). The log stopped about four weeks ago and this late summer weather gave me the chance to get underneath to find it overgrown….

Scrubbed it off and it worked fine but have found this weekend that it has stopped again.

I am going to take it out to clean it this time, water too cold for a Southern Softie and was wondering if it was worth antifouling it or getting some copper paint or something else.

Anyone else had any experience or got some good ideas?

They foul, get used to it, coz you will need to clean it often.

A thin coat of A/F will improve things somewhat, but the little shrimpy buggers just go in the nice cave and die!

I antifoul mine, just make sure you spin it before going back into the water otherwise the A/F can clog it. Also add a bit of vaseline.
