[IGNORE - problem found]
Unsure if anyone can help but I have an old Lofrans Leopard. I’m rebuilding it with fresh seals and bearings. In addition I have to replace a sleeve that goes inside (540 on the diagram).
The reason for the rebuild is that they used to make the sleeve from alloy and they weld themselves to the shaft. They quickly realised the error and now make them from brass.
So I have a new brass one and from the diagram there is a large circlip above it which retains it within the case. However the new brass unit is ever so slightly taller, meaning there is no space to fit the circlip.
You can see in one photo the old sleeve, and the space for said circlip.
Either they decided there is no need for the circlip any more or then made the new part wrongly.
I’ve tried asking Lofrans and when I do they decline my support ticket. Clearly they prefer not to answer.
Has anyone rebuilt one of these?
